How much does it cost to become an AMSOIL Dealer?

The annual Dealer fee is $100 in the United States and $130 in Canada. That is the entire required cost. There is no kit you are forced to buy, no monthly minimum, and no inventory purchase.

The fee is partly offset on day one: new Dealers receive a $30 redemption code to use on their first order, which brings the practical first-year cost closer to $70.

What is in the Dealer Starter Kit

  • Welcome letter and new Dealer orientation materials
  • AMSOIL catalog samples
  • AMSOIL pens and an independent Dealer padfolio
  • AMSOIL Dealer window cling

If the Dealership turns out not to be a fit, return the Starter Kit complete and in resalable condition within 30 days and AMSOIL refunds the registration fee in full.

How AMSOIL Dealers make money

Every AMSOIL product carries a defined profit value. When you place an order, or when a customer, commercial account, or retail account you registered places one, you earn a commission on that purchase. The plan is volume-based, so earnings scale with what your customer base actually buys.

Customers can order online using your Dealer number, call the AMSOIL ordering line, or place the order through you. Whichever route they take, the sale is credited to your Dealership. Full details of the compensation plan are on the AMSOIL Dealer earnings page.

Sponsoring other Dealers is optional. It is never required, though building a team is one of the ways established Dealers grow income.

Building a successful AMSOIL Dealership takes skill, hard work, and time. There is no guarantee that you will reach any particular level of sales, income, or profit. Earnings depend on the products sold and the customers served, and results vary from person to person.

How to become an AMSOIL Dealer

  1. Complete the AMSOIL Dealer application and sign the Dealer agreement.
  2. Pay the $100 annual Dealer fee. Add your bank details at this stage if you want commission paid by direct deposit.
  3. Check your email for the registration confirmation, which opens access to the Dealer Zone and the online tools for new Dealers.
  4. Watch for your welcome package with catalog samples, business tools, and the $30 code to use on your first order.

AMSOIL Dealer vs Preferred Customer

If the goal is cheaper oil for your own vehicles, the Preferred Customer Program does that for less. A Dealership makes sense when you intend to sell.

AMSOIL Dealer questions

How much does it cost to become an AMSOIL Dealer?

The annual Dealer fee is $100 USD, or $130 CAD in Canada. New Dealers receive a $30 code toward their first order, and there is no required inventory purchase.

Is becoming an AMSOIL Dealer worth it?

It depends on whether you plan to sell. The fee is low and the refund window removes most of the downside, but income comes from customer purchases, so a Dealership only pays off with customers behind it. Anyone who just wants cheaper oil for their own vehicles saves more with a $20 Preferred Customer membership.

How do AMSOIL Dealers make money?

Each product has a defined profit value, and you earn a commission every time you or one of your registered customers or accounts places an order. Earnings scale with purchase volume rather than a fixed salary or markup.

What do you get with an AMSOIL Dealership?

Access to the full product line at Dealer pricing, the Dealer Zone website, a Dealer Starter Kit, online training, and a free subscription to AMSOIL Magazine.

Do I have to keep AMSOIL inventory?

No. AMSOIL ships orders directly to your customers, so carrying stock is entirely optional. Dealers who want product on hand for local sales can buy personal inventory, but it is never required.

Do I have to sponsor other AMSOIL Dealers?

No. Sponsoring is optional. Building a Dealer team is one route to higher income, and if you do sponsor someone you are expected to provide training and mentorship, but the choice is yours.

Can I sell AMSOIL products online?

No. Dealers may not sell, advertise, or post prices for AMSOIL products on online auction sites, marketplaces, or classified sites. Your customers order online using your Dealer number instead, and the sale is credited to your Dealership.

What type of business is an AMSOIL Dealership?

It is an independent contractor arrangement, not a franchise or an employment position. You set your own hours and pace, and AMSOIL handles order processing, invoicing, payment, and shipping.

What if I decide a Dealership is not right for me?

Return the Dealer Starter Kit complete and in resalable condition within 30 days and AMSOIL refunds the registration fee in full.

Will I be working with another AMSOIL Dealer?

Yes. New Dealers are paired with an established Dealer for training and support. Enrolling through this page connects you with Brian & Tracy Klinkner in Jefferson City, MO.

Can a Dealer sell to businesses and stores?

Yes. Dealers can register commercial accounts for fleets and equipment operators and retail store accounts for shops that resell on the shelf, and earn commission on those purchases.
